Sage Wisdom

"Good improvisation communicates harmonic progression melodically. Effective melodies manipulate harmonic content through the use of guide tones and preparatory gravity notes, masterfully woven in systematic tension, release, and transparent harmonic definition."

In the hopper for all you Rigel Fans: Rigelfest 2005!
The dates are set and we are hashing out all the final details as we speak. For now, mark September 30th and October 1st on your calendars for "mando frolic and fun" in the center of the world for modern mandolin technology, Rigel headquarters in beautiful Vermont!
We'll be shaping up the schedule and activities shortly, but for now all you need to know is:
Pete and "Re-pete"
Bed and Breakfast (...like you'd be getting any sleep, anyway.)
New England in the Fall
Great Mandolins
Great Players who Appreciate Great Mandolins
Great Playing by Great Players who Appreciate Great Mandolins!

We don't want to give away too many secrets now, but does the name "Will Patton" mean anything to you?...
Stay Tuned!
(Two good words to live by for a mandolinist...)
