June 24, 2006 | Draleon Mandolins
Oo la, la! Coming soon from Century Strings, the Draleon gypsy jazz series mandolins. Deep-voiced, punchy, clear and loud, this true jazz mandolin lets you blow sweetly through ballads, but still punch out complex rhythms. Tagged, the "Royale," we had the chance to sample the prototype last January. Needless to say our hopes are very high and we are anxious to see the first run at Summer NAMM in Austin, Texas.
Features:
- Maccaferri-inspired design
- AAA tonewoods
- X bracing
- Spirit varnish topped with lacquer
- Large, deep body for power and depth
- Gig bag
List Price: Pending
